The Statement Collection presents traditional kitchen design elevated through exceptional craftsmanship and rarefied materials. Created for an East Coast family in partnership with Chicago design firm, Subdivision Studios, for Monogram appliances, this space captivated audiences at KBIS 2020 and featured prominently in that year's campaign work.
This sanctuary balances the warmth of patina with architectural precision. Positioned atop rolling hills, the kitchen frames verdant vistas through carefully placed windows. Honey-hued travertine with preserved natural voids becomes both countertop and conversation piece. Bronze fixtures with hand-finished patina glow beneath thoughtfully positioned lighting, while distressed oak cabinetry reveals quiet confidence that comes only with age. Hand-troweled plaster walls breathe with subtle imperfection.
The allure lies in celebrating the perfectly imperfect—surfaces bearing intentional marks of artisanal craftsmanship, as though the kitchen has existed for generations. This approach resonates particularly well with East Coast sensibilities, where historic homes and traditional craftsmanship are deeply valued. Monogram's state-of-the-art appliances integrate seamlessly within this traditional framework, with panel-ready refrigerators and double dishwashers concealed behind custom cabinetry facings that maintain the kitchen's cohesive aesthetic. This thoughtful integration ensures innovation serves tradition rather than announcing itself.
As the emotional center of the residence, this kitchen establishes the home's character through intentional design choices that connect interior luxury with the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. This inspiring space, along with others in the collaboration, has been immortalized in a beautiful book that continues to inspire homeowners and designers alike.
To launch the redesign of Monogram Appliances, we wanted to showcase the appliances in a space that not only mirrored Monogram’s dedication to design, but a space of which every detail was art. Every surface, every gesture, every detail was poured over and handcrafted to create these beautiful tools for your home. Effortless and also extremely elegant pieces that blend seamlessly into your lifestyle.
In order to create dream kitchens worthy of Monogram appliances, we partnered with Chicago design firm, Subdivision Studios. These spaces were seen at KBIS 2020, echoed in that year’s campaign work and can be seen below in a beautiful book to show off these inspiring homes and kitchen designs.
