DESERT SANCTUARY: MINIMALISM MEETS LUXURY

Bathed in golden high desert light, this kitchen transcends functionality to become a masterpiece of modern design. Custom designed in partnership with SubDivision Studios for Monogram Appliances as a showcase for their new Minimal Collection, the space was created to highlight the sleek appliances while honoring and reflecting the surrounding desert landscape. Masterful proportions and strategic placement allow natural light to transform surfaces throughout the day, mirroring the ever-changing desert environment.

The material palette speaks in earth's language: sand, stone, and wood in quiet conversation. The island's curved edges in solid Taj Mahal Quartzite required specialized fabrication techniques, with its bullnose edge profile enhancing both form and function. This monolithic centerpiece seamlessly integrates with custom cabinetry and flush appliances—its crystalline surface catching light like water in a desert oasis.

Fluted Macassar ebony wood paneled cabinetry provides rich textural contrast, its exotic grain patterns and vertical rhythmic texture adding sophisticated depth. Monogram's professional-grade appliances from their Minimal Collection disappear into the architecture, preserving functionality while tempering visual presence.

This kitchen creates a compelling dialogue between classical craftsmanship and contemporary details, where Monogram's sleek appliances take center stage against a backdrop inspired by natural desert elements. Time-honored materials appear in unexpected applications, ensuring relevance beyond trends. To launch the redesign of Monogram Appliances, we wanted to showcase the appliances in a space that not only mirrored Monogram’s dedication to design, but a space of which every detail was art. Every surface, every gesture, every detail was poured over and handcrafted to create these beautiful tools for your home. Effortless and also extremely elegant pieces that blend seamlessly into your lifestyle.

In order to create dream kitchens worthy of Monogram appliances, we partnered with Chicago design firm, Subdivision Studios. These spaces were seen at KBIS 2020, echoed in that year’s campaign work and can be seen below in a beautiful book to show off these inspiring homes and kitchen designs.
